Emelie Molander is a freelance violinist and educator, with a specific interest in chamber music playing. She was brought up in Örebro but has lived and worked in Gothenburg since 2011.

She began her education at Ingesund Music School, where she studied teaching and classical violin with Magnus Ericsson. She then completed her masters at the then named Swedish National Orchestra Academy, University of Gothenburg, studying with Øyvor Volle and Tobias Granmo.

Fascinated by contemporary music from an early age, Emelie has played with Mimitabu since 2013. She also performs with the Gothenberg-based string quartet, Fyrkvartetten, and, having studied with Hans Kennemark, leads Höst, a folk music group focussed on performing their own original compositions.
